Since the very beginning we have always sought to find out God's heart for the communities around us. Whether it was providing modern praise and worship for young people in the 1990s or helping Sydney Christians get involved in missions in the 2000s. Currently, we also are partners with schools for children affected by extreme poverty in Kenya and Cambodia.
At Sydney Hosanna, we believe in a holistic approach to missions.
Just as Jesus healed the sick and fed the hungry even as he preached of the kingdom of God, we also believe in the necessity to meet the urgent needs of those we minister to even as we share the good news of the gospel with them.
Founded in 2003, Hope School provides a top quality Christ-centred education to children living in one of the largest slum areas in Phnom Penh. It is helping over 400 students and their families to break the cycle of poverty through education.
Built with the help of Sydney Hosanna in 2007, Hosanna Gardens Academy transformed wild bushland in Mikameni into a place where children could receive a joy and love-filled education and 2 meals a day they often went without.
